Event report

Northern Ireland’s Daniel Quigley made a successful challenge for the ISKA World Cruiserweight Kickboxing title when he stopped the reigning Champion Waine Turner in the fifth round.

The young contender gave the Champion no quarter he dropped Turner twice in the first round with an endless barrage of punches and kicks. Turner was sent to the canvas twice in the following rounds he bravely tried to survive the onslaught but Quigley would not be denied after another knock down in the fifth round the referee stepped in to save Turner from further punishment and award a TKO victory to Quigley. The sold out event was promoted by Paddy Toland at the Clanree Hotel, Donegal, Ireland. On the same card Jay McVeigh (P T’s Gym Donegal) stopped David Welsh (Bodyshots, Belfast) in the fifth round to take the ISKA Irish Super-lightweight title.
