Dave Wilson wins European title in Vienna
Liverpool’s Dave Wilson grabbed a victory on foreign soil last month when he captured the ISKA Light-cruiserweight European title under Oriental rules. Wilson faced Austria’s Predrag Lazarevic at the Albert Shulz Ice Arena in Vienna.

The first round was even with guarded exchanges both men looking for an opening. In the second Wilson scored a knee to head then followed up with a head kick flooring Lazarevic for an eight. The fight was restarted and Wilson swarmed on his dazed opponent with a barrage of punches finishing with another solid head kick knocking Lazarevic out. Dellian White was scheduled to fight on the same card against Russian Jamal Kasumov but as White is a Jamaican National he had visa problems and was not allowed to enter Austria.
