Helene Garnett challenges for ISKA World title

Intercontinental and European Champion Helene Garnett will challenge French Champion Laetitia Bakissy for the vacant ISKA ladies World Welterweight Thaiboxing title on Sunday 30th November at the Civic Hall Wolverhampton.

Garnett is coached by former ladies World Champion Trix March at the Wicker camp in Sheffield and is eager to follow in her mentors footsteps.  The undefeated (9-0) Garnett said ‘winning a World title is the pinnacle of anyone’s career and it’s what I have been working towards for a long time I’m sure Bakissy (6-1) feels the same, I hope we put on a good show and raise the profile of women’s Thaiboxing

The November 30th show at the Civic starts at 6pm (doors open at 5pm), with tickets priced from £25 (adults) and £15 (children).  Ringside (£40) and VIP (£75) are also available.  Box office 0870 320 7000, or on-line at http://www.wolvescivic.co.uk

    The Women’s ISKA Atom-weight World Kickboxing title under Full Contact rules was contested in Dijon, France by Maria Krivoshapkina (Russia) and Melanie Bony (France).Maria has a 10-2-0 pro record and 120-30-0 amateur record.     KRUSH 18 Takiya KO’s Crooke

    KRUSH 18 staged at Korakeun Hall, Tokyo on the 3rd May by Good Loser Productions, featured an international prestige match between England’s Reece Crooke and Japanese rising star Shota Takiya. Crooke on the comeback trail was trying to fight his way into the World’s top ten, Takiya was not going to give up his spot. Read more
