ISKA UK Disciplinary action
ISKA UK have suspended Michael Egan (Taz Gym, Llandudno) from competing on their sanctioned events for 12 months for failing to show up without warning for a match with Rab Burt on the 9th November 2007 at the Hilton Tree Tops Hotel in Aberdeen, Scotland.

Egan’s trainer and manager Eugene Valerio agreed a purse the fight and travel arrangements were confirmed. When Egan didn’t show up for the weigh in on the 8th November, the promoters and ISKA Officials tried to contact Eugene Valerio, but he wouldn’t take any calls and has not been heard from since. After a full review the ISKA disciplinary committee decided to suspend Michael Egan for 12 months and impose a find of £150 to be paid to his scheduled opponent Rab Burt and a further find of £250 to be paid to the promoters to cover to costs of the non-refundable airfares that were booked for Egan and Valerio. Egan has the right to appeal against the suspension and fines.

Changes to ISKA weight divisions

ISKA have made changes to three weight division, the Super-cruiser-weight division will change from 91.8kg to 94.1kg, the Heavyweight division limit will change form 96.4kg to 101.4kg and Super-heavyweight will change to + 101.5kg. The new weight divisions already established in the USA will come in to effect in Europe on the 5th February 2012 Read more
