ISKA UK has a bright start to 2008
ISKA UK had a bright start to 2008, sanctioning 18 events in the first quarter (January to March) including 3 World titles fights, 1 European title and 14 British, national and regional title fights. With a further 20 events scheduled for the second quarter ISKA maintains its position as the number one sanctioning body in the UK.
Dale Wood
In a positive turn of events more ISKA Champions are choosing to defend their titles, British Champions Stephen Swinburn, Barinder Singh, Ricky Gammon and Jason Curtis have all agreed to defences in recent months. The real champion is the one who will defend against all comers not the guy who has half dozen belts from different organisations but has never defended any of them.
ISKA UK have announced several new appointments, recently retired World Champion Dale Wood is the new Midland Area Director for Kickboxing, Successful promoter and Gym owner Bern Gaim joins as the North West Area Director for Kickboxing and Scotland’s leading promoter Gary O’Brien is the new Scottish National director for Thaiboxing.
