Karbo KO’s Green

Kickin promotions drew a capacity crowd to the Circus Tavern in Essex for the long awaited match between Ollie Green (Aveley KB) and Mo Karbo (Mu Gen Do). Green was defending his ISKA British Cruiserweight title scheduled for seven rounds.

Both men got straight down to business trading powerful kicks the opening rounds were fairly even. Midway through the third round Karbo fired a left right punch combination connecting cleanly, Green dropped to the canvas unable to best the count, a KO victory for the new ISKA British Cruiserweight Champion Mo Kargbo.

The Ladies ISKA British Lightweight Title was contested between Anna Otterwell (Spartans) and Bonnie Webb (Wiffen Academy) both girls showed great skill determination and stamina in a worthy Championship match the went the full seven rounds and was a great advert for women’s Kickboxing. Otterwell won by majority decision.

ISKA English Lightweight Title defence between the Champion Richard Hines, (Aveley KB) and the challenger Mick Dunford (Scorpions) was a competitive clash the fits three round were full of Sharpe exchanges. Hines stepped up a gear in the fourth landing the more clean and telling blows with both hands and feet. Hines dictated the pace of the fifth and final round to retain his title with a unanimous decision.

ISKA Southern Area Super Middleweight Title was contested between Reece Rowell (Aveley KB) and Will Wright (Lincoln KB). A solid five round contest with some blistering exchanges. Wright didn’t kick enough in the early rounds Rowell took advantage racking up the points to win a unanimous decision.

    KRUSH 18 staged at Korakeun Hall, Tokyo on the 3rd May by Good Loser Productions, featured an international prestige match between England’s Reece Crooke and Japanese rising star Shota Takiya. Crooke on the comeback trail was trying to fight his way into the World’s top ten, Takiya was not going to give up his spot. Read more
