Khan to face French Champion on Muaythai Superfights 08

Two-time World champion and UK’s undisputed number one Light-welterweight Imran ‘Haji’ Khan will face Champion of France Hamed Doumbia at the Civic Hall Wolverhampton on the 30th November.

Khan who fight out of the Wicker Camp was slated to face Kieran Keddle but he decided to take a year off to pursue a business venture. Khan said ‘I was really looking forward to fighting Keddle it’s a fight I have been after for a while, it probably won’t happen now as he is losing interest in the fight game, the promoter tried to set a match up with Liam Harrison but he was already committed to a fight in Thailand , there is a chance I will get to fight him next year maybe in Sheffield’ when asked about his French opponent Doumbia who brings a record 19-2-1 Khan said ‘ the match has just been confirmed so I don’t know too much about Doumbia, France is a leading Nation in Muaythai producing some great Thaiboxers I expect Doumbia will be a tough test.     KRUSH 18 staged at Korakeun Hall, Tokyo on the 3rd May by Good Loser Productions, featured an international prestige match between England’s Reece Crooke and Japanese rising star Shota Takiya.
