Mick Crossland Challenges Nigel Thomas for British Light-heavyweight Crown

ISKA English Super-middleweight Champion Mick Crossland (Jesters Gym) will step up to Light-heavyweight and challenge British Champion Nigel Thomas (Storm Gym) on the 25th April at Wirksworth Leisure Centre, Derbyshire.

Nigel Thomas won the title last November with a unanimous decision against Matt Martin. Thomas was considered the underdog but rose to the challenge he now wants to confirm his credentials as Champion by defending against the dangerous Crossland who knocked his last opponent out in less than a minute, in fact Crossland’s performance was so impressive, Thomas may find himself cast as the underdog again, but that maybe just the way he likes it.

The unbeaten ISKA Midland Area Super-cruiserweight Champion Paul Randall (St. George KB) will face Andrew Tate (Storm Gym) to contest the vacant ISKA English Light-cruiserweight title. Randall has been on a rampage racking up KO wins on his way to the Midlands crown but Andrew Tate will be a step up in class. Tate has scored major victories over former Super-cruiserweight British Champions Ollie Green and Mo Karbo. Both Randall and Tate have found it difficult to get matches as their reputations precede them, now they will face each other in was promises to be the most explosive cruiserweight match of the year.

Promoter Dale Wood has put together a stacked card of Kickboxing action that will also include two elimination matches for the ISKA English Super-welterweight title. Aaron Watkinson (SAMMAC) will face Barry Hazel (Storm Gym) and Ian Jarroms (Leicester KB) will face Michael Dovie (Storm Gym) the winners from each match will face each other to contest the title at a future date. A late addition to the card is a rematch between Davis Kamara and Qasim Nisar to contest the vacant Super-Lightweight English title.
