Mr. Shunji Ishii new Director ISKA Japan

Mr. Shunji Ishii has accepted the position as ISKA Director for Japan with immediate effect. Mr. Shunji Ishii has been involved in the event production and public relations for the K-1 World Grand since 1993. He is a Director of FEG (Fighting Entertainment Group) which promotes K-1 events worldwide

He has a background in Kyokushin Karate going back to the early 1970’s he trained with his brother Master Kazuyoshi Ishii the founder of the K-1 World Grand Prix. He views Martial Arts as the Japanese ancient Bushido exist to raise himself mentally and physically, it should not be used for violence and threatening.  It is the most important to respect each other in the competition, and win or lose is just caused in the process.

On accepting his new position he said I am honored to be the National Director of ISKA for Japan, one of the time-honoured organizations.  I truly take my responsibilities and duties seriously.

    The Women’s ISKA Atom-weight World Kickboxing title under Full Contact rules was contested in Dijon, France by Maria Krivoshapkina (Russia) and Melanie Bony (France).Maria has a 10-2-0 pro record and 120-30-0 amateur record. She is WAKO amator European and world champion in freestyle kickboxing. Melanie has a 24-6-0 pro record, she is French and European champion in Savate. Read more

    KRUSH 18 Takiya KO’s Crooke

    KRUSH 18 staged at Korakeun Hall, Tokyo on the 3rd May by Good Loser Productions, featured an international prestige match between England’s Reece Crooke and Japanese rising star Shota Takiya. Crooke on the comeback trail was trying to fight his way into the World’s top ten, Takiya was not going to give up his spot. Read more
