Qasim Nisar will face Nathan Kirk to contest ISKA English title

Former ISKA Amateur World Champion Qasim Nisar from the USKA Academy in Birmimgham was slated for a rematch with Davis Kamara for the ISKA Super-lightweight English Kickboxing title on the 25th April at Wirksworth Leisure Centre in Derbyshire. Work commitments conflicted with Kamara’s training schedule forcing him to withdraw.

Nisar will now face Nottingham’s Nathan Kirk which is also a rematch Nisar beat Kirk in an amateur contest. Kirk scored a significant victory last year when he stopped No. 3 ranked lightweight Ricky Glover. Kirk is currently ranked behind Nisar in the Super-lightweight division and is said to be eager for the rematch and a chance to surpass his old rival. Some pundits are suggesting that Kirk will be Nisar’s first real test and he will need to bring his A game as Kirk is no longer the amateur he vanqished a few years ago.

The main event on the 25th April Wirksworth card promoted by Dale Wood is a ISKA Light-heavyweight British title fight between the defending Champion Nigel Thomas and Mick Crossland.
