RIP Dr. Choudhury 1943-2010
Dr. Sobrata Dutta Choudhury passed on the 28th April after a long battle with mouth cancer his funeral was on the 11th May. Dr. Chowdhury supported Kickboxing and acted as a Medical official for Kickboxing and Muaythai show for more 20 years. There are very few Thai/kick boxers in the UK that have not examined by him.
Dr. Chouwdury was also responsible for the development of better ringside medical cover advising sanctioning bodies and promoters. He also helped fighters get cheaper CT scans and blood tests and freely advice them about any injuries or illness’s. Dr. Chowhdury was a very generous and caring man, a real gentleman.

Changes to ISKA weight divisions

ISKA have made changes to three weight division, the Super-cruiser-weight division will change from 91.8kg to 94.1kg, the Heavyweight division limit will change form 96.4kg to 101.4kg and Super-heavyweight will change to + 101.5kg. The new weight divisions already established in the USA will come in to effect in Europe on the 5th February 2012 Read more
