Thomas McCormack is the latest protégé to emerge from Mick Mullaney’s Wicker Camp in Sheffield. McCormack is to Muaythai what Qasim Nisar in to Kickboxing, a young star with the potential to shape the future of the sport.

Thomas McCormack

McCormack made people sit up and pay attention when he appeared on MUAYTHAI SUPERFIGHTS last November and clinically outpointed the vastly more experience Yogi Parekh. McCormack will challenge for the vacant ISKA British Super-lightweight Muaythai title on the 6th April at the Pennine Lounge in Oldham. Standing in his way is another young rising star John Dennis whose credentials are just as impressive, he fights out of the Spartans Gym trained by one of the sports pioneers Peter Feeley. McCormack and Dennis are products of the junior Thaiboxing interclub circuit which is tirelessly promoted by trainers and gyms around the UK for little profit but when the end result is a Thomas McCormack or John Dennis you know why they make the effort.
