    Championship Kickboxing at the Circus Tavern

    Kickboxing at the Circus Tavern, Purfleet, Essex sanctioned by the ISKA and promoted by Kickin promotions. Another great night of Full Contact Kickboxing, that included title fights and international contests. The main event was an emotional one for Stacey Gosden the UK No.1 lightweight from Brighton who dedicated his comeback fight to the memory of the sad and sudden loss of his mother Grace. Read more

    Sakurai Smashes Aoki at DREAM 8

    NAGOYA, April 5, 2009 -- Hayato Sakurai, one of only three fighters to ever beat Japanese wunderkind Shinya Aoki, repeated the feat tonight at the DREAM.8 Welterweight Grand Prix 2009 1st Round in Nagoya, defeating Aoki with strikes just 27 seconds into their Main Event showdown. The mixed martial arts fightsport extravaganza comprised 10 bouts, featuring four qualifiers for the DREAM Welterweight GP (76 kg/168lbs); and six additional MMA contests in a variety of weight classes.     Qasim Nisar will face Nathan Kirk to contest ISKA English title

    Former ISKA Amateur World Champion Qasim Nisar from the USKA Academy in Birmimgham was slated for a rematch with Davis Kamara for the ISKA Super-lightweight English Kickboxing title on the 25th April at Wirksworth Leisure Centre in Derbyshire. Work commitments conflicted with Kamara’s training schedule forcing him to withdraw. Read more

    Ladies World title clash Baars v Garnett

    Wicker Camp in association with Showsport International staged a World Championship Thaiboxing event on the 29th March at the Octagon Centre in Sheffield. The main event was an ISKA Ladies World title contest, England’s Helene Garnett (Wicker Camp) faced Holland’s Jorina Barrs (Team Schrijber) to decide the welterweight championship. Both girls were undefeated European Champions although Baars has twice as many fights a Garnett. Read more

    ISKA UK held its English Amateur championships on the 29th march 2009; the venue was the Crystal Leisure Centre Stourbridge, West midlands. ISKA were also using this competition as a qualifier for the ISKA European Championships 2009 in Rome, Italy. Read more

    Marlon Hunt takes ISKA World Light-heavyweight title

    On Sat March 28th at the David Lloyd Centre in Ipswich Marlon “The Game” Hunt won the ISKA Light Heavyweight World Pro Title by beating Lukas Wolf of the Czech Rep and became a 6 x Pro World Champion at 4 different weights. Read more
