STRIKEFORCE Crown new women’s Champion
SAN JOSE, CA (February 27, 2009) –Before a sold out crowd of 2,322, former ballet dancer turned undefeated professional mixed martial arts (MMA) star Sarah Kaufman (11-0) became the first STRIKEFORCE Women’s Welterweight (135 pounds) Champion in history by powering her way to a five round unanimous decision over Japan’s Takayo Hashi (12-2) in the STRIKEFORCE Challengers main event at San Jose’s Civic Auditorium on Friday, February 26. Last August I reported on Clan Wars 2 and was overly impressed by the display of MMA I witnessed that night. The next in the series, Clan Wars 3, on the 12th Feb 2010 at the new Sense Nightclub at the Glenavon House Hotel in Cookstown, Co. Tyrone, certainly had a lot to live up to. Read more

ISKA UK has reached an agreement with COMBAT 32 Promoter Daniel Harrison to sanction the popular professional full contact points fighting tournament. The tournament offers considerable prize money and will be a platform for ISKA Amateur competitors who want to take a step up. Read more

ISKA UK Affiliate to the AMA
ISKA UK has affiliated with the AMA (Amateur Martial Arts Association) and is now their official sanctioning body for Kickboxing, Muaythai and freestyle Martial Arts. The AMA founded in 1971 and with a membership of over 95,000 is the oldest and largest Multi-style Martial Arts Association in the UK. Read more

ISKA UK AGM
The ISKA UK Board of Directors gathered for their Annual General Meeting on the 7th February 2010 at Jurys Inn in Birmingham. The meeting was chaired by ISKA UK Executive Director Paul Hennessy who opened proceedings with the chairman’s report. Read more
