    Fight Ikon 5: ‘Fight For a Life’

    On Sunday 21st November, at the Willows, the home of Salford Reds Rugby Club, Fight Ikon presented their fifth offering; a charity event entitled 'Fight For A Life' in aid of the 'LifeForAKid.com' organisation. The fact that this took place at all was an achievement in itself, given the appauling news that promoter Darren Sherlock recieved the week previous when he was diagnosed with Lymphoma and pressures placed on Ikon by the council, but in spite of this, a good time was had by all who were at the show.     Team England take 30 Golds, 25 Silvers and 22 Bronze at the ISKA Amateur Worlds in Alicante

    Nothing could establish the new ISKA UK Amateur Director Mr. Clifton Findley better that a successful World Championships. Clifton wanted to prove in that ISKA England is still a force to be reckoned with. After a careful selections at the Nationals back in May in London and also Monthly Squad training sessions Team Directors Paul Gilmore, Owen King,Matthew Winsper and Joe Hallett selected a Team of 90 strong fighters in terms of quality ready for action.     Watson dominates Toshiya to take ISKA Crown

    Showsport International in Association with Black Widow Martial Arts Academy staged MAUYTHAI SUPERFIGHTS on the 20th November 2010 at the Doug Ellis Sports Centre in Birmingham England. The main event featured an ISKA World title between England’s Jordan Watson and Nakagawa Toshiya of Japan. Read more

Former University of Tenn., linebacker turned MMA rising star Ovince St. Preux (8-4) also notched a unanimous decision win over Antwain Britt (11-5) in featured light heavyweight (205 pounds) action from Jackson Convention Complex in Jackson, Miss.     Juan Pinilla removed as National Director for Spain

    By unanimous vote of the ISKA European Executive Council, Juan Pinilla is removed as national director for Spain. ISKA Great Britain Director and European Executive Council member Paul Hennessey said, “Mr. Juan Pinilla gave me no choice but to vote in favor of his dismissal from the ISKA. His behavior regarding last weeks’ world championships brought himself, ISKA Spain and ISKA Europe into disrepute. Read more

    ISKA World Amateur Championships in Alicante, Spain; The GOOD, the BAD and the BEAUTIFUL.

    Nearly 900 fighters from around the globe arrived in Alicante, Spain last week prepared to participate in the World Amateur Kickboxing Championships. They came armed with a year’s worth training in preparation for a well produced event and world class competition. Unfortunately, only one of their expectations was met. Read more

    Muaythai Superfights line up changes

    Shinya Ishige has been forced to withdraw for the ISKA World title match against Jordan Watson due to an injury. Ishige has been replaced by highly rated Japanese Champion Nakagawa Toshiya. Kerrith Bhella will not be able to defend his ISKA British title due to a bout of flu. Challenger Lee Green will now face Thomas McCormack to contest the Commonwealth title. Read more
