Augsburg Germany hosts ISKA World Championship card

ISKA German Director Sidal Duvat returned to promoting on the 16th June at the Sporthalle Augsburg in Germany and delivered a show that would make any martial arts fans heart beat faster. The card featured World, Intercontinental and European Championship matches under Full Contact and Freestyle Rules, highlights of the show were broadcast on German ad Turkish TV.

The main event was the vacant ISKA World Championship title in full contact in the Super-lightweight 62, 3 kg class, Between Abubaker Kaabunga (Uganda) and Scraps Hazjeri (Albania). Both men set a fast pace, with Kaabunga increasingly dominating as the fight worn on, unfortunately an accidental clash of heads in the eleventh round ended the match when both men were cut. Officials tallied the scorecards and Abubaker Kaabunga was declared the winner and new Champion by unanimous decision.

ISKA European Middleweight champion Rene Kretschmar (Germany) stepped up to defend his Freestyle kickboxing title against Turgay Dugan (Turkey) but it wasn’t a good night Kretschmar who conceded the match in the sixth round after a sustained and painfully accurate low kick attack to his legs from Dugan, the new European Champion who now has his sights set on a World title shot.

Former Boxer Guido Fiedler (Germany) faced Antal Elter (Hungary) to contest the vacant ISKA Light-heavyweight Intercontinental title under full contact rules, Fiedler was never is any danger from Elter and controlled the fight over ten rounds to win a unanimous decision victory
