Fight-Stars 1

Fight-Stars rolled into Kingston-upon-Thames on the 28th February 2010 for the first night of a ten date tour. Hosted by Oceana Night Club, the promotion delivered what it promised an exciting well matched card of Semi-Pro and Professional fights.

Dan Edwards vs Aurilijus Kerpe

The Main Event featured Dan Edwards (Richmond MMA) against Aurilijus Kerpe (Anatas Gym) in the opening second for the first Edwards took Kerpe down and that where he stayed for the rest of the round, Edward was able to move from side control to full mount with ease. Although Kerpe defended well from he eventually gave up his back but Edwards couldn’t capitalize.

Kerpe was on his back again at the beginning of the second and Edwards was in control again this time Striking was more accurate and effective. Near the end of the round Edwards from mount scored some heavy punches, Kerpe managed to slip out the back and get to his feet, he had a bad cut over his right eye, the Doctor stopped the fight, a TKO victory for Edwards. 

Scanlon's Von Flue choke

In the Semi-main Event Mark Scanlon (Kaobon) faced Marius Buziskas (Anatas Gym) Scanlon faked a punch then shot in for a clean take down, Buziskas tried to sink in a guillotine, Scanlon from side control, deftly locked a Von Flue choke, Buziskas wasn’t sure what was happening to him but with his breathing restricted he was forced to tap
