Gibson takes on Wolf for ISKA European title

ISKA Light-heavyweight European Champion Lukas Wolf of the Czech Republic accepted a challenge from the ISKA British Light-heavyweight Champion Scott “TOO HOT” Gibson to defend his championship belt at Hove Town Hall, Brighton England on the 15th October.

Lukas Wolf is an experience champion and entered the ring resolute and confident. Right from the bell Wolf was on the attack, moving well, throwing combination punches and his trademark front and Axe kicks, while Gibson seemed content to pace himself, defend and attack with intermittent counters. Round two was much the same with Gibson trying work through Wolfs attacks to close the gap. Round three saw Gibson step up a gear and attack more, as his game plan seemed to be to chase and pressurise Wolf, catching him at one stage with a combination of punches.

Round four saw Wolf working hard again, Gibson started to chase again pressurising his opponent. Round five seemed the turning point in the fight from Gibson’s relentless attacks, Wolf who chose stand during the rest periods in his corner for the first four rounds was now on his stool looking tired. Round six saw Gibson still obstinate in chasing down Wolf who was now on the back foot, catching him in the seventh with a powerful cross. Round eight, Wolf seemed to have found a new burst of stamina with some good skilful work, however at the end of the round he again looked tired. Round nine, Gibson was still chasing, and in round ten Wolf looked exhausted, Gibson took advantage of this, ending the round with a ferocious blistering attack that got Wolf a standing count. This was ten rounds of incredible non-stop action from both fighters, throughout the ten rounds some of Wolfs trademark front and Axe kicks hit Gibson hard who seemed to shrug them off with the intent to close the gap and throw his bombs. Gibson’s fitness, grit, strength and tactics proved to be the difference in the later stages of the fight. Gibson who has had only two fights in 2 years must of worked hard for this fight. Decision to Scott“TOO HOT” Gibson, the new ISKA European light heavyweight champion.
