ISKA UK on target to Sanction 100 events in 2011

ISKA UK is on target to sanction 100 events during 2011, the second quarter figures showed 33 sanctioned events added to the first quarters 21 events its shows 55 events at the half year mark. With a further 52 events scheduled for the second half of 2011, barring cancelations the goal of 100 events is achievable.

Several new promoters joined ISKA UK this year including Ireland’s Martin Horgan who staged a World Championship Muaythai card at the Neptune Stadium in Cork featuring Jordan Watson in his first successful defence of his ISKA World title against Cedric Muller. John Jarvis joined the ISKA and promoter two World championship card in Crawley and Philip Tieu staged two ISKA Championship cards in London we also have new Kickboxing promoters with Luke Carter in Portsmouth, George Asargiotakis in Brighton and Freddie Osei in London.

The ISKA MMA division is still growing with Paul McLaughlin leading the way with his televised Clan Wars event at the Ulster Hall in Belfast, broadcast by Setanta Nationally and the Extreme Sports Channel Internationally.

The Amateur division in the capable hands of Clifton Findley is also moving forward and will field a strong team for the ISKA Amateur European Championships in Jesolo, Italy next month

    Terado defends ISKA World title against Howson on KRUSH 21

    ISKA World bantamweight Champion, Japan’s Nobuchika Terado will defend his Oriental Rules title against the former ISKA World bantamweight Muaythai Champion Andy Howson from England.
