Joe Hallett and his team appear on Big Brother with TV star Alex Reid debuting his new song Stardust
On Saturday 2nd June ISKA UK Forms Director Joe Hallett met with old friend reality TV star Alex Reid at the Seni Combat Sports Expo in ExCel London where they spoke concerning a performance Alex was scheduled for later the following week on Channel 5 debuting his new single "Stardust" with pop producers Shelter. Monday morning Joe and fellow ISKA British and World Champions Jack Underwood, Matt Lightfoot, Josh Lewis and Alistair McDonald own were in their Martial Arts academy choreographing and perfecting a routine.
The finalised routine was sent to Alex’s management that evening with all hopes that they like what they had created. Tuesday morning a phone call indicated that they had the green light and will be on Channel 5’s Big Brother Bit On The Side Thursday evening LIVE alongside Alex Reid and Shelter.
A quick conversation with stylist Natasha Lyons concerning clothing for the them and they were all set ready for the spotlight. “Everything was moving very fast which is always the way in the industry and we were over the moon that Alex had giving us this opportunity and we didn’t want to disappoint him”. Joe and the team travelled to Essex the following morning where they were rehearsing all afternoon in the comfort of Alex’s house and his management team making a few tweaks to their performance. Thursday had finally came and before the they could think they were on the set of Big Brother Bit On The Side at Elstree Studios in London.
Due to health and safety a few last minute changes to the proceedings including all gymnastic and flip moves taking out of the routine and two members Matthew Lightfoot (ISKA British Champion) and Jack Underwood (ISKA World and European Champion) were cut due to limited amount of space on the stage. “At the time it was very heart breaking for the two members but they were very mature over the situation and the show must go on” At 11.30pm the three other team members (Joe, Josh and Alistair) took the stage with Alex and Shelter, once the music started to play the adrenaline was pumping and the team pulled of a stomper of a routine leaving the crowd screaming for more.
In a matter of minutes Alex Reid’s performance went worldwide trending on network site twitter which was a huge achievement in it’s own. Back at the Green room with Alex,, thoughts went to what is next for us and “Stardust” more TV performances and a possible show at the famous G.A.Y club in London on top of this the official video where Joe and the others will be featured throughout. Looks like from small encounter a great partnership has been formed. Joe and rest of the lads sat down to watch the show in the early hours of Friday morning “It still didn’t sink in that we have just performed in front of millions of viewers on channel 5 with Alex Reid!”.
