Ghajji dispatches Kontraszti in three for quick title defence
ISKA World Middleweight Champion Karim Ghajji chose to defend his Oriental rules title less than two months after winning it. He faced two-time European Champion Patrik Kontraszti from Hungary, the Champioship match took place on the 9th June in the town of Trets, near Marseille in the South of France.
The fight started slowly the first with both men just testing each other and range finding, in the second round Ghajji accelerated his attack scoring with big punches and heavy kicks the effects of which could be clearly seen when Kontraszti limped back to his corner at the end of the round. In round three Ghajji quickly stepped up the pressure and scored a knockdown with a double left hook, only moments after Kontraszti got to his feet, Ghajji finished the job with a straight right hand and Kontraszti was counted out.
