EFMA Disneyland Paris

A Magical Martial Arts Experience!19 - 21 February 2010 Times Square, New York Hotel, Disneyland Paris. As Disneylands European Open and Festival of Martial Arts fast approaches Fighting Arts News breakdown the exciting activity and packages planned for the big weekend!

Disneyland European Open - 10:00 - 17:00 - Saturday 20th February
The day starts with an opening cermenony presided over by the mouse himself. There’s four tournaments planned for the big day. The Karate tournament will be run under WKF rules, Taekwondo is organised under TAGB and the BJJ under IBJJF rules. Plus if those tournaments are not for you, there’s a freestyle tournament listing over 50 categorys, to suit many martial competition styles. Mickeys Medal Ceremony - 17:30 - 19:30 - Saturday 20th February
Mickey Mouse and a few of his Disney friends will join the festivities after the Disneyland European Open tournament in Times Square. There will a chance for photos and a group event photograph for all medal winners too.

All Stars Team Challenge - 19:30 - 21:30 - Saturday 20th February
The All Stars Challenge is the evening showpiece to EFMA with team match ups, head to head bouts and some fantastic displays on offer. The cost is €25 or free with an EFMA accomodation package.

EFMA After Party - 21:00 - 00:00 - Saturday 20th February
A martial arts festival wouldnt be the same without an after party and what better place to hold a party than in the magical kingdom itself. All EFMA package holders are free to join us for this climax to the day. The party is planned at TImes Square and will take place just after the All Stars Challenge.

Strike - 09:00 - 11:00 - 21st February
Britains got talent finalists Strike are looking forward to their Disney weekend. They will be passing on their skills that saw them get to the final of the ITV hit talent show in the EFMA energiser workshop, which is free to all EFMA package holders.
The EFMA Energiser is at 9am on Sunday 21st Feb and is only open to EFMA PAckage holders.

Disney Park Times
If you have an EFMA package chances are you will with us on Friday 19th and going home on either Sunday 21st or Monday 22nd February. The park is there for you to enjoy all at times during and in between festival activity. As its half term the park is set to stay open later than usual with the following times:-
19th 1000 to 2000 hours
20th 1000 to 2200 hours
21st 1000 to 2100 hours

Non-Package Holders
EFMA only comes to Disney every 18 months so even if your not booking an EFMA package you can still compete, train, watch and experience EFMA and Disneyland over the weekend. There are plenty of ways to travel to the park. Eurostar takes you directly in from London, Dartford, Ashford and Lille straight into the park itself. Low cost airlines fly into Charles de Gaulle airport where a bus will meet you outside the terminal to take you onto Disneyland and your hotel. And dont forget the very cost effective Ferry’s a! cross to Calais as that allows you to take your car with you to Disneyland. Hotels are in abdundance both on and off site.     Changes to ISKA weight divisions

    ISKA have made changes to three weight division, the Super-cruiser-weight division will change from 91.8kg to 94.1kg, the Heavyweight division limit will change form 96.4kg to 101.4kg and Super-heavyweight will change to + 101.5kg. The new weight divisions already established in the USA will come in to effect in Europe on the 5th February 2012 Read more
