ISKA UK Support the Re-Launch of the MAI National Circuit

MAI (Martial Arts Illustrated) the UK’s leading Martial Arts Magazine will re-launch the MAI National Circuit, a series of open freestyle tournaments in 2012. The ISKA UK Amateur division has pledged their full support for the new MAI National Circuit and will supply referees, Officials and ISKA promoters will help with staging events.

MAI editor Bob Skyes said ‘The MAI Circuit of bygone years gave birth to UK Martial Arts heroes and Legends, although this period of tournament fighting may be romanticised in a retrospective context, it time for the old guard to make way for the new era that is upon us, with a new MAI National Circuit

ISKA National Amateur Director Clifton Findley said ‘I have been involved in Sport martial Arts for many years, I only get involved with projects that leave a legacy and I’m excited about ISKA working and supporting a prestigious event such as the new MAI National Circuit. So don’t be shy come along and let’s make history together.

    The Women’s ISKA Atom-weight World Kickboxing title under Full Contact rules was contested in Dijon, France by Maria Krivoshapkina (Russia) and Melanie Bony (France).Maria has a 10-2-0 pro record and 120-30-0 amateur record.     KRUSH 18 Takiya KO’s Crooke

    KRUSH 18 staged at Korakeun Hall, Tokyo on the 3rd May by Good Loser Productions, featured an international prestige match between England’s Reece Crooke and Japanese rising star Shota Takiya. Crooke on the comeback trail was trying to fight his way into the World’s top ten, Takiya was not going to give up his spot. Read more
