Tate takes World title
PURE FORCE PROMOTIONS - STORM GYM-Luton - STORM FIGHT GEAR presented KING COBRA "STRIKES BACK" on June the 4th and added another piece of History to our lovely town in producing its first ever event of this magnitude in Luton Town and UK with 1 World Title, 3 British and 1 Area Title in disciplines such as Kickboxing, Muay Thai, K1 and MMA.
Andrew ‘King Cobra’ Tate from Storm Gym – Luton sponsored by STORM GYM-Luton/STORM FIGHT GEAR is crowned the New ISKA Light-Heavyweight champion of the world after defeating the current Champion from France Jean-Luc Benoit from via spectacular KO in round 8 of the scheduled 12 rounds.
The start of the fight was understandably a bit cagy at best until Andrew opened up a bit and as Challenger took over the initiative which resulted in another KO which makes Andrew The KO Artist in his own right...for the last 5 years All opponents have been stopped in spectacular fashion and Andrew is now on his way to conquer the World!
Luton town’s second champion of the night was ex-Royal Marine Commandos Dale Hardiman who captured his first British Mixed Martial Arts Title at 70kg via triangle choke in just less than 2 minutes after a fury of punches and kicks. The confident STORM GYM – Luton fighter never doubted the final outcome as he trained very hard for nearly 9 weeks with the help of his sponsor Warrior Nutrition and Storm Fight Gear!
Emma Goodwin and Nigel Thomas from Storm Gym – Luton were unlucky in their quest for British Titles with close points losses but fought very well and hard over 5 and 9 rounds respectively. A rematch on our next September the 4th show is agreed for both of the fighters in order to settle the score. Rowell looks for spectacular KTMMA debut but faces Ultimate Fighter veteran!
One of the highlights of the KTMMA showcase was the debut of rising star Regis ‘The First’ Sugden, who went on to be crowned ‘Fighter of the Night’. The Lion versus the Eagle! It’s England versus America for KTMMA 1!
November 2013 saw the spectacular showcase launch of KTMMA the new Combat fightsport for the 21st Century.
